Sustainability.
As a family business now in its third generation, sustainability is a defining part of our DNA. We live it every day as an organisation and have been realising it in our projects for more than 60 years.
About us
With more than 60 years of experience and expertise we combine location, concept and capital to form future-proof urban properties as distinct brands.

Company
As a family-run company, FAY Projects has been developing commercial or residential projects and mixed-use urban districts since 1961 – from land development and new construction to the revitalisation and transformation of portfolio properties. With an experienced team, flat organisational structures and short decision-making paths, we realise projects of mostly between 25 and 80 million euros, and in individual cases considerably more.
Having specialised in inner-city projects, we are perfectly familiar with the complex requirements of an urban environment: we take a sensitive but focused approach in order to reconcile the diverging interests of policymakers, local residents or public advocacy groups with those of the occupiers and the investors.
Drawing on comprehensive market knowledge, we develop solutions for difficult locations as well. We identify potential uses and will not rest until we find a solution that optimally matches the situation on the ground. It is our experience and know-how that make our project teams efficient. The focus is on long-term value creation and attractive returns for investors and precisely fitting properties for tenants.

Principles
As a family business now in its third generation, sustainability is a defining part of our DNA. We live it every day as an organisation and have been realising it in our projects for more than 60 years.
We treat everyone involved in a project with respect.
We do what we say. And we say what we do.
Because we fund most of our projects with our own capital, we pay particular attention to the risks that exist or newly emerge at every stage of a project.
We are meticulous in every detail and in our documentation, while always keeping sight of the whole.
We ensure the highest level of expertise – not least by bringing in specialists.
We work with a clear goal in mind and deliver results.
We have a fully integrated IT platform that unites the commercial and technical sides of property development (COOR, FLOWWER), and we work with BIM models to connect design, construction and operation.
Sustainability
Sustainable thinking and action is deeply rooted in our DNA. Developing projects of our own was the origin of the company when it was founded in 1961. As an independent family business, we work and think for the long term, with an eye to coming generations and free from third-party interests. And as a founding member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) in 2006, sustainability in the more familiar sense has always been a genuine concern of ours as well. Green buildings have been a fixed part of our day-to-day business for many years. Ever since DGNB certification has existed, we have achieved DGNB Gold certification for every one of our projects.
Team
Property development is a team-based effort. Our projects always combine various disciplines, detailed special skills, and plenty of know-how. The senior management team of FAY Projects GmbH reflects the fact. Our senior management pools proven and recognised experts with various professional backgrounds. There is one thing, however, they all have in common: many years of hands-on experience and interdisciplinary knowledge.
Managing Director
Carl Fay joined FAY Projects in 2023 and is Managing Director of acquisitions, controlling and debt capital markets.
Prior to joining FAY Projects, Carl acquired extensive experience in these fields while working for Tishman Speyer in the Acquisition & Development division among other positions. Carl Fay is alumnus and part of the network of the European Business School Oestrich-Winkel and has cleared all three stages of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. Furthermore he has a degree in Real Estate Economics & Finance and a diploma in international business administration.

Mr Lindner has 27 years of professional experience in the areas of construction supervision, project control and project development of new construction and refurbishment projects. The architect, who is authorised to submit building documents, began his professional career at HOCHTIEF in 1994 before moving to the area of project management and project development in 2001. Most recently, as technical managing director of the Zielconcept Group, he was responsible for the project development of new building projects in Berlin.
