A quarter as an
urban city space
Three five- to six-storey modern and sustainable buildings are to be built on the site on Mercedesstrasse. The ensemble presents itself with individual, non-orthogonal structures that form the entrance to the NeckarPark behind it. The buildings are grouped around a publicly accessible square, described as a “green valley” thanks to the surrounding planted facades, beneath which an underground car park is located.
The quarter integrates an attractive mix of uses comprising offices, hotel, fitness and gastronomy. Office users can look forward to modern and flexible office units such as combi, multi-space or individual offices, with optimal daylight comfort through the building geometry, an integrative technical approach, and creative and quiet zones. The hotel with 194 light-flooded rooms has its own address on Mercedesstrasse and a separate, representative entrance via the planted inner courtyard.
