Public-private partnership
Refurbishing the completely outdated existing senior citizens’ centre of the Sozialbetriebe Köln (SBK) in a sought-after inner-city residential area was no longer economically viable. The concept of creating inner-city living space and care places for senior citizens at the same time allows an economically sound use of the site while preserving the care places in a newly built nursing home.
