Mannheim / Berlin, 5 December 2024 – FAY Projects has let further office space in the MITZSCH project at Maximilianallee 1 in Leipzig. A federal government company is taking the third and fourth floors, totalling around 3,000 sqm, together with 20 car parking spaces on a ten-year lease. Pre-letting at MITZSCH thus rises to around 90 per cent. Completion of the new building is planned for this year. The Leipzig office of BNP Paribas acted as agent for the letting.

“With MITZSCH we are making a clear statement for sustainable construction and innovative architecture. Its perfectly connected location in Leipzig and its modern specification make the building a sought-after address for companies that value sustainability and efficiency,” says Manuel Oltersdorf, Authorised Signatory at FAY Projects. “The high level of pre-letting shows the considerable interest in state-of-the-art, outstandingly equipped office space, which we fit out individually to our tenants’ wishes,” adds Ingo Lindner, Managing Director at FAY Projects. “We are particularly pleased that every area is let to financially strong companies and subject to VAT. No input tax adjustments are therefore required for this investment,” says Wolfgang Heid, Chairman and Spokesman of the Management Board at FAY Projects.

MITZSCH is located in the Eutritzsch district, immediately north of Leipzig city centre. The new building is being constructed to the KfW 55 standard, offers a total of 10,500 square metres of individually configurable lettable space across six floors and is well prepared for the shift to electric mobility. An underground car park with 64 spaces is being built on the lower level, and a car park directly in front of the building provides a further 20 spaces. Half of the spaces already have charging facilities; the remainder can be retrofitted.

The entire building is being constructed to the sustainability criteria of the DGNB Gold standard. Alongside modern technology for efficient consumption, FAY Projects is planning extensive planting on the roof and courtyard areas and the installation of the building’s own photovoltaic array.
