Project description
Corporate headquarters, retail and hotel
in the heart of Chemnitz
The new headquarters of the Saxon energy supplier Eins Energie occupies 13,900 sqm with 700 employees. The second part of the building is operated as a hotel of the “Super 8” brand with 172 rooms.
Located on Johannisplatz in the centre of Chemnitz, the Johannis-Quartier was realised on a 5,700 sqm site. It consists of an office and commercial building of up to six storeys including an underground car park with a total of 300 parking spaces. In addition, 300 sqm are available for retail units.
Construction began in spring 2019; completion and handover took place as planned in autumn 2021.
The basis was a Europe-wide investor tender. The Johannis-Quartier was awarded the DGNB certificate in GOLD.
The principal was FAY Projekt Nr. 117 GmbH & Co. KG.
